As a PADI ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR you will not only gain experience as a PADI Professional, but you will also start to learn what the PADI System of Dive Instruction entails.

 

You can help with teaching and take on limited teaching tasks. It is a good way to gain experience in a relaxed manner, at your pace and to prepare before becoming a dive instructor!

 

The PADI ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR course is the first part of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). When this first course is followed by the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) course and after that the Instructor Examination (IE) is successfully completed, this leads to certification as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

 

You will learn to organize and supervise diving activities and you will focus on sharpening your teaching skills.

 

You learn, among other things:

 

• giving theoretical presentations

• repeating and evaluating water skills

• giving sheltered water briefings

• evaluating rescue skills

• giving outside water briefings
